On this, the eve of the eve of my departure for the Silver State, I would like to take a moment once again to extend a virtual laurel and a hearty handshake to all those who donated, offered moral support, or simply suffered my ever desperate pleas for help in silence. I cannot thank you enough. The sixty-five riders from the National Capital Area - with your help - have thus far raised over $300,000 for cancer research. We should ALL be proud.

I put my bicycle on a truck last Saturday morning. It's probably somewhere near Denver by now. Bright and early Sunday, the fun begins. I'll be thinking of all of you who got me there. Thanks again.
